Lakelands school equestrian team had their first training practice last month at Radfords Equestrian in Llanymynech, led by local instructor Anona White. Five students took part in flatwork and jumping in the indoor school, everyone was able to have a great time despite the awful weather outside. We are still in the very early stages of our equestrian venture, although we have affiliated to the National Schools Equestrian Association and are looking forward to competing in some of the most prestigious inter-school equestrian competitions in the country. We would welcome help and support from parents or family members wishing to become more involved and are currently seeking to raise funds for future ventures. Lakelands are hosting the North Shropshire and North Wales Show Jumping Challenge between 5 local schools: The Corbet School, Moreton Hall, Ellesmere College and Ysgol Dinas Bran.
